Dr Joseph Grim Feinberg

Joseph Grim Feinberg is a research fellow at the Institute of Philosophy of the Czech Academy of Sciences. His work focuses on competing conceptions of political and aesthetic subjecthood, including the notions of "the people," "the proletariat," and "civil society," in milieus ranging from folklore performance and ethnology to the avant-garde and political dissent. His book The Paradox of Authenticity was published in 2018 by the University of Wisconsin Press. He is also editor of Contradictions: A Journal for Critical Thought, devoted especially to radical political thought in Central and Eastern Europe.
