Katarzyna Stańczak-Wiślicz - an assistant professor at the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Works in the Literary Communication in the People’s Republic of Poland Department. She has a doctorate in literary studies and M.A. in history. She finished the Graduate School for Social Research (GSSR) at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of SciencesHer interests range from the gender and women’s history in post-war Poland to the history of popular culture and popular discourses analysis. Author of the book based on Ph.D thesis: Real-life Stories. Confession Narratives in Polish Popular Women’s Magazines in XX century (Warsaw 2010), co-author and editor of two collective monographs on the popular culture in Polish People’s Republic. Member of the Committee of Women’s History (a section of The Polish Historical Society).
