Irena Ristic is a researcher and art maker. She graduated in 1992. at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts (FDU), Department of theatre directing. Following that she completed postgraduate studies of psychology of art at the Faculty of Philosophy, Department of Psychology (MSc) and Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade (PhD), as well as the specialized education at EAPTI Institute of Psychodrama. Her works and research were presented in a number of festivals and conferences. She received Early Stage Researcher Award from Psihologija Journal in 2016, and she was awarded for Best experimental film at the 57th DSFFB in 2010, and for Best youth policy project of Belgrade in 2011, among the others. Since 2005, she is focused on poly media and social experiments, research of arts and creativity - some of them are presented in the books "Beginning and the end of creative process" (2011) and "Psychology of creativity" (2013, co-author). She runs Art group Hop.La! and she teaches psychology and psychology of arts at the FDU Belgrade, as Associate Professor.
