I am a researcher in the Museology Department at Vilnius University Faculty of Communication, completing a PhD on the role of social networking sites in cultural heritage communication. I hold a MA in History and Cultural Heritage, and two BAs, in Archaeology and Economics. I have been working in the area of digital humanities and digital cultural heritage, and had contributed to several successfully accomplished national and European digital heritage projects. My current research interests lie in social media practices and cultural heritage engagement. I seek to explore interactions between heritage resources and engaged communities on social networks thus contributing towards greater understanding of the contemporary heritage communication and interpretation.
