Dr Katarzyna Chmielewska

Katarzyna Chmielewska – assistant professor at the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IBL PAN); co-founder of the Center for Cultural and Literary Studies of Communism at IBL PAN. Editor of the series Communism. Ideas – Discourses – Practices. Her publications – as co-author and scientific editor – include Monuments of memory. Places of oblivion (2017), Year 66. Communist Poland on the turn (2015), Communist Poland – afterlife (2012), Narrating Communist Poland (2011). She specializes in memory studies, discourse analysis, especially cultural and literary contexts of the Communism in Poland.
