Noga Collins-Kreiner is a Professor (PhD), in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Haifa, Israel (http://sites.hevra.haifa.ac.il/nogack/ ), the Head of the Haifa and Galilee Research Institute and the Vice-President of the Israeli Geographical Association (IGA).Her main research interests are: Pilgrimage, Heritage Tourism, Hiking and Tourism Development and Management. She is also a resource editor of the “Annals of Tourism Research” and published many papers on the topics of tourism and Human Geography.As a specialist in Cultural Heritage, her research focuses on the multifaceted relationship between heritage, culture, and tourism. She is currently working on a project titled: ‘Motivations for Preserving Others' Cultural Assets: Jewish Heritage Sites in Macedonia’, as part of a larger project researching Heritage and Tourism in Macedonia which hopefully will be extended to other countries in East Europe.
