Kim Christiaens

Prof. Dr. Kim Christiaens is Director of KADOC-KU Leuven, Documentation and Research Centre on Religion, Culture and Society. His research focuses on the history of international solidarity movements, the Cold War, transnational activism and human rights, with an orientation to the Third World and Eastern Europe. He has published various articles on East-West contacts during the Cold War - including communist solidarity with the Third World, solidarity movements with Eastern European dissidents and the impact of the transitions in Eastern Europe during the 1980s.
