Iliana Veinberga
Art historian, currently a PhD student at the Art Academy of Latvia and the collection keeper at the Riga Porcelain Museum (Latvia). Main academic interest is industrial design history of Latvia under Communist rule (1940-1941/1944-1991), however I take interest in exploring other aspects of material culture linked to the Soviet production practices: architecture, applied art, experimental art activities, etc. Participated in several academic research projects (most recent: running of Latvian section of the project "Ceramics and its Dimensions" (2014-2018), organized by the Porzellanikon-State Porcelain Museum in Selb, Germany) curated and co-curated exhibitions related to my academic expertise and published essays in academic as well as popular media outlets in Latvia and abroad.
